Celebrating International Nurses Day
Healthwatch Cheshire are celebrating International Nurses Day with a look at some of the great comments we have received from people wanting to thank nurses working across Cheshire. We receive comments from across different healthcare settings and out in the community and here is just a snapshot of some from the past few months:
“All the nurses at the Macular clinic are marvellous and caring.”
“The specialist bowel nurse’s care is very good and respectful. Very responsive and caring service.”
“I find the asthma nurse specialist very helpful and pleasant and a very good service overall when seen.”
“Father had a fall and was referred to Hospital. He has had excellent care and all the nurses have been wonderful.”
“The phlebotomy nurses are always very patient and caring with me.”
“I have long term leg ulcers and they need regular dressing. District nurses are very gentle, friendly and kind. It makes all the difference when having the dressing changed.”
“The Nurses and X-ray team at the hospital were so good with the gentleman when he fell down some steps and broke his wrist. They were so gentle with the casting and used distraction and humour to help manage his stress.”
“The practice nurses dressing the ulcers are kind and caring and offered to send a district nurse to do the dressings at home, which was very helpful.”
“Lady with learning difficulties went for her blood test the other day and they said she was very brave, the nurses were very nice to her and made her feel happy after she had her bloods taken.”
“I have eczema and go to see the Nurse Practitioner if my skin flares up. Very happy to see the nurse rather than the Doctor and with all of the care, advice and treatment received.”
